Tuesday 27th February 2018
UK Run Events, the events channel of #UKRunChat and organisers of The Running Festival at Goodwood, have issued a last call for discounted early bird entry for the event on Sunday 14th October 2018.
Runners have until midnight on 28th February to secure early bird pricing for this exciting new event at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit in Sussex. With a 10K and a Half Marathon race to choose from, plus a Family Run for younger runners soon to be announced, it promises to be a superb celebratory day of running for runners of all ages and abilities.
Current early bird entry costs £18 (affiliated) or £20 (non-affiliated) for the 10K and £26 (affiliated) or £28 (non-affiliated) for the Half Marathon. Prices will then rise by £2 respectively on 1st March.
Included in the race fee is a unique medal, technical t-shirt, free pre- and post-race massage, free race photos worth £19.99 powered by Pic2Go, a goody bag and a themed finish. It makes for a glorious end-of-season celebratory event and one which will see significant presence from many running communities including UKRunChat and Run Mummy Run.
Goodwood is certainly a picturesque and thrilling venue for this highly anticipated new event on the UK run scene. Nestled at the foot of the South Downs just outside Chichester, it is home to the world-famous Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Qatar Goodwood Festival. For motor sport fans wanting to race on the smooth tarmac of this classic circuit and those wishing to simply enjoy the experience of running at this quintessential English estate, The Running Festival at Goodwood is a must for the autumn calendar.
With just two days left to snap up early bird entries, uptake for the event has been extremely positive and runners are being encouraged to secure their place on the start line while prices are at their lowest.
The Running Festival at Goodwood 10K, covers two laps and a half laps of the motor racing circuit and The Running Festival at Goodwood Half Marathon, covering five and a half laps of the circuit. Both races will feature a team of pacers to help runners achieve their target times, and leading online running community for women Run Mummy Run will have its own wave of runners in the 10K and Half Marathon.
Race Director Joe Williams commented, “We are thrilled with the uptake of early bird entries for the inaugural Running Festival at Goodwood and look forward to seeing everyone on the start line of this exciting new event in October. We wanted the event to reach out to runners of all ages and abilities and so there is a 10K and a Half Marathon as well as a Family Run and Schools Challenge, details for which will be confirmed shortly. We are also inviting all running communities to join us at this end of season finale gathering and will announce more details about this shortly.
It will make for a real community event with amazing support, a thrilling atmosphere and a fantastic day out for everyone. There are just two days left until prices rise so it’s the perfect time to sign up and have a first-class new event to look forward to this autumn.”
