We asked some of our contributors what they really, really wanted for Christmas. And guess what? There wasn’t a mention of a hover board or Lego Star Wars. But it’s all easy stuff, right? You runners are a tricky lot to buy for!
While their responses may not give you any actual practical ideas for Christmas presents, we hope that they might bring a bit of cheer to your day.
Damian Hall: Tim Tollefson's hair, a Western States entry and for the Brecon Beacons to move a bit closer to my house. Please Santa x
Natalie White: All I want for Christmas is to see Rosa, my German Short-Haired Pointer, running off the lead, enjoying her bionic leg after months of inactivity after tearing her wrist ligaments.

Renee McGregor: Some down time, a mountain view and the hope that my new book means that someone whom previously couldn’t, can join in with Christmas dinner and be part of the festivities.
James Jelfs: All I want for Christmas is prepped meals for a year, my nutrition is awful and I cant stand cooking. I think I survive on cheese sandwiches, soup and pizza. If someone else prepped everything for me I could eat healthily and I'm sure the results would be great. A personal trainer for 12 weeks would also be nice to get me back into top shape. I’ve definitely started to fatten up for winter and need someone to help me get back on track. Failing those a new pair of Hokas.
Robbie Britton: a climbing finger board and a home bouldering wall. A fun way to do more core work.
Lisa Martin: For Christmas I really want my fairy godmother to make an appearance and magic a year of injury-free running...  Failing that, a coach who can help me improve my running in 2018 would be awesome.
