The Vitality North London Half Marathon successfully returned for its third year this weekend, thousands of runners taking on the challenge, and crossing greatest finish line in the world INSIDE Wembley Stadium connected by EE!
Paul Whittaker, 1st place male, raced home to sporting glory, with a time of 1 hour 8 minutes and 55 seconds, cheered on by a stadium packed with supporters! The first female over the finish line was Maria Wagan in 1 hour 19 minutes and 10 seconds.
In second place came Dean Lacy, in 1 hour 9 minutes and 19 seconds followed by Ola Berg Fines in 1 hour 9 minutes and 24 seconds. Second place female was Joanne Mccandless finishing in second in 1 hour 22 minutes and 54 seconds, and Jessica Lowe in 1 hour 27 minutes and 13 seconds taking third.

A spokesperson from race organiser GO2, said: “After introducing the inner stadium finish line, going through Wembley, we have seen an increasing level of interest in the Vitality North London Marathon. Not only sports fans looking to soak up a taste of the big stage, but runners of all abilities looking for races with a little extra to keep them motivated along the way.
“Congratulations to all of our participants today, both spectators and participants enjoyed an electric atmosphere, right from start, through Allianz Park and of course, onto our iconic finish line.”

The half marathon saw hundreds of incredible fundraisers take on the challenge for official charity partners Macmillan Cancer Support and Royal Free Charity, alongside those that chose to run for other charities represented by a cause close to their heart.
In addition to the main race, over 450 primary school children ran their final mile as part of the Schools' Challenge, helping to raise money for local charity partners Noah’s Ark Children's Hospice and St Luke’s Hospice.
