Run247 and Running fitness magazine join forces

Run247 are pleased to announce that we have joined forces with Running fitness, and Run247.com will become the official online presence for the magazine. The partnership is being officially launched at this year's Virgin London Marathon Expo and representatives from both companies will be on the stand throughout the show week.

The June issue of Running fitness will be available on the stand and will now feature www.run247.com on its masthead.

We believe this partnership will give the UK running community the best of both worlds with a fantastic monthly print magazine supported by the latest up-to-date news, events and results online. By combing our individual strengths we can provide our readers with the ultimate running resource.

Since its inception late last year, Run247.com has already become a go-to destination for running news, and mirrors some of the excellent editorial of its sister site www.tri247.com, with a weekend round-up of events, a comprehensive race database, videos, podcasts and more.

Running Fitness is the magazine for people who are passionate about running. Pitched at anyone from beginner level through to experienced athlete, Running fitness contains an informative mix of articles on topics as varied as training, nutrition, injury prevention, products and motivation, while providing a comprehensive race diary and events coverage. It is a must-read for anyone for whom running is part of their life.

Said Matt Skelton, Publisher, Running fitness: "Rf has gone from strength-to-strength under the editorial leadership of David Castle and provides readers with what we believe to be the most topical, informative and entertaining mix of UK-focused running-related feature material in every issue, in addition to detailed product testing, club and event news.

"Online, Run247.com has quickly established itself as a site of prime interest to runners, and being able to make use of its extensive events database and news content will enhance the printed content of Running fitness, while providing our readers with a great resource to keep up to date with the fast moving world of running between issues."

Paul Shanley, Sales and Marketing Manager Run247.com commented "we are looking forward to applying the principles and passion we have developed in triathlon with Tri247.com into the running arena with Run247.com. Teaming up with the Running fitness was a logical and very exciting step for us. The magazine continues to grow in readership and quality, and will be a great partner to the online presence through Run247.com. By working together, we believe we can offer an even more attractive resource to the UK running community, both in print and online form, and we can't wait to develop that partnership."
