Soleus (www.soleusrunning.co.uk): Soleus running watches and HRM's were launched in the US 12 months ago and are now available here in the UK. Soleus offer the largest viewing area and visual clarity of any running watch currently on the market. They have gone back to basics by creating a simple to use product, offering the runner just what they need. Features include lap memory ranging from 30 to 100 laps, Data storage of 1 to 30 runs, 5 countdown timers, two alarms and two timezones. A convertible display allows you to view your current lap time and total time in a single readout. Prices range from £50 to £80. Additional products are currently in development for Spring 2011 release.
Balega Sports (www.balegasports.com): Balega socks are made completely from synthetic fibers. They are produced using the highest quality US yarns and take up to three times as long to produce as typical running socks. This attention to detail is partly what makes them special. All our socks incorporate dynamix moisture management which helps keep the socks breathable and dry. Their seams are all finished to the highest level including a handlinked toe enclosure which cuts down on abrasions and the potential for blistering. The finishing process for our socks is extensive which gives a super soft feel to them, which lasts even after many washes. These characteristics have made Balega the number one selling running sock in the US. Balega, launched in the UK this Spring and are available through select running specialty shops.
Runners Remedy/Strassburg Sock (www.runnnersremedy.com www.thesock.com ): The Strassburg sock is a device used to treat plantar fasciitis. A simple patented sock designed to wear during rest and sleep, has been a huge success at running specialty in the US. The product is sold in over 700 running stores. In 2010 the same company launched Runners Remedy, a clever compression low profile icing solution with reusable ice packs. Both are now available in the UK.
Stuffitts (www.stuffitts.com ) Launching this autumn, Stuffitts have created a new category - Shoe Savers. Stuffitts are designed to address that common problem of wet, stinky shoes.
