Tri247.com Editor John Levison visited the Virgin London Marathon Expo where, judging by the kit on offer, British pride is back
Judging by a tour of the Virgin London Marathon Expo today, 'Cool Britannia' is most certainly back. This time around that may not involve drinks parties at No. 10 with Tony Blair and Noel Gallagher, but celebrating Great Britain is most certainly en vogue. At least, I think that's what my somewhat limited fashion sense interpreted. If I'm wrong, several brands are going to have a lot of stock left over by the end of 2012!
Whether it's the Diamond Jubilee, the London 2012 Olympic Games or other more personal reasons, if you want to display your Britishness through your sporting attire this year then you have plenty of options, whether that's an in-your-face Union Jack or a more retro casual feel.
Here are a few images of the best red, white and blue items I spotted today from Brooks Running (www.brooksrunning.co.uk), New Balance (www.newbalance.co.uk), Shock Absorber (www.shockabsorber.co.uk), K-Swiss (www.kswiss.com), adidas (www.adidas.co.uk), Sweatshop (www.sweatshop.co.uk) and Pro-Direct Running (www.prodirectrunning.com).
