On this weeks show we talk to John Fisher. He’s preparing for his 11th London Marathon post heart transplant. We bring you up to speed with the jantastic smack down plus there’s all the amazing news from the USA Olympic Marathon trials in Houston as well as long awaited update on the team of ‘probables’ from Kenya. Tony’s doesn't give two hoots and the King takes Winner of the Week.

On this weeks show we’ve got a super interview with inspiring John Fisher – he’s preparing for his 11th London Marathon post heart transplant. We bring you up to speed with the jantastic smackdown and intro month 2 'Febulous'. There’s all the amazing news from the USA Olympic Marathon trials in Houston as well as long awaited update on the team of ‘probables’ from Kenya. There’s news from a positive drugs test for an Irish marathoner. You tell us about your runs in Rate your Run and the Marathon Talk podium. Tony doesn't give two hoots and the King is WotW.

  • Large teams (21+) Fetch the Soap, Greg, Good Run Wall, Team Minni, and the parkrun show, all tied on 18 Jantastic points overall.
  • Medium Teams (11-20) Centurion, Lordshill Road Runners, The Consistently Consistent sub 3:15 Team, uknetrunner.co.uk, and Yorkshire MT, are all tied on 18
  • Small Teams (6-10) Cool (New South) Welsh, #TNSG, Sheffield Social Runners, and Team Two Stone Off, are all tied on 18 points
  • REMEMBER you must log the runs you do on www.marathontalk.com BEFORE Tues 0800 GMT the week after your runs have been completed.

FEBULOUS The first 4 weeks of Jantastic ends on 29th Jan.

  • The second 4 weeks Febulous starts on Mon 30th Jan!
  • You have to state the number of runs you are going to target each week during February AND you have to state how far your longest run each week is going be (in miles).
  • You then have to run your stated number of runs and distance of longest run and log them both before 0800 Tues the following week of each week.

You can still sign up at any time to participate in our challenges you just won’t score for previous weeks!

Just over 11 years ago John, then aged 38, had a heart transplant. This year he's planning to run his 11th marathon in the Virgin London Marathon.
