Run247 has a race report from the 2011 ING New York City Marathon (HERE), but we thought you might like to see these different takes on 'race reporting'.
For a very entertaining view of the day's events, from travel to the start to crossing the finish line, have a look at New York Times cartoonist Christoph Niemann's work. Niemann was live-drawing the NYC Marathon while running it, tweeting the images as he went along. (HERE)
Or you could 'run' the entire course of this classic marathon with Gwen Schroeder in just five minutes!
Runner Gwen Schroeder ran this year's race with a camera strapped to her head and took a photo every minute. She then strung those together and added some music - so you can see the whole course and all the New York sights as the course winds through five boroughs, from Staten Island to Central Park.
