Stuart Brooke, the founder of ashmei took running up a couple of years ago and purchased the typical obligatory running gear but found that the quality and performance was not as good as some cycle and outdoor gear he already owned and therefore found himself wearing this instead.
Stuart then thought there must be other runners who want higher quality and better performance clothes to run in and also thought he would introduce some classic understated style rather than the “pro athlete” look adopted by the current market.
Taking the Bugatti Veryon as inspiration of a design that has a “No compromise” approach to develop something totally unique with ultimate performance, fabrics were developed based on their ability to perform for high aerobic activities such as running. These materials were then tested in prototype mules until the mix was perfect and the designs were then developed from these to offer the runner what they actually need on a run. Features include waterproof tech pockets, hidden winter mitts, offset zips for comfort, venting, ergonomic fit for the running posture, reflectivity for winter running and that all important classic style.
The end result is something totally unique. Our product looks like no other and performs like no other. As a result ashmei is more expensive than our competitors but so far gear testers and consumers say it’s worth every penny with no real comparison to benchmark it against.
