You can still join Denise Van Outen in the Shock Absorber WomenOnly Run on Saturday October 22, 2011
Following high demand after entries closed on Monday, event organisers Human Race have announced that they will be accepting on the day entries for the Shock Absorber WomenOnly Run on Saturday October 22nd.
The run, which sees actress and TV presenter Denise Van Outen take part in support of Breast Cancer Care, takes place on closed roads in the idyllic autumnal setting of London’s Richmond Park. The park, at almost 2,500 acres, is the largest of the Royal Parks and is home to some of the capital city’s most varied and colourful wildlife including 650 free roaming deer. The course winds its way through the grasslands and ancient woodland of the park, keeping to completely traffic-free, tarmac roads at all times.
According to Denise Van Outen, the run is the perfect way to experience on of London’s most picturesque parks. “I’m so excited about running the Shock Absorber WomenOnly Run on the 22nd of October with my mates! I lost my beloved Gran to breast cancer, so Breast Cancer Care is a cause very close to my heart. They are here to support the 50,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. Please come and join us at Richmond Park for a great day out with friends raising money for Breast Cancer Care!”
On the day entries for both the 5k and 10k run will be £25, cash or cheque only.
