Sprinting Santas and Reindeers on the run!

Event preview: The Santa Fun Run - Bushy Park, Sunday December 4, 2011

Once again Princess Alice Hospice is calling upon supporters to don a Santa suit and do some festive fundraising. With three hugely successful runs under their belts the Hospice team is returning to Bushy Park, Hampton for a fourth year.

With hundreds of sprinting Santas taking part, this fun run - for over 16s only - sees the park coming alive with a sea of red and the sound of Christmas. Previous runs have raised in excess of £35,000 for the Hospice.

The Santa Fun Run at Bushy Park will return on Sunday, December 4, with a limited number of 500 spaces, come and be part of this special event and run through one of the areas most beautiful parks.

Due to the continuing success and demand for places, the Hospice event team will be holding two additional runs at Old Deer Park, Richmond on Sunday 11 December. Places are also limited to 500 for each run at the second event so be sure to get in early and avoid disappointment. There is a 10:30am run and for those that enjoy a lie in a 2:00pm start.

Entry for the over 16s only Bushy Park is £10 to include a Santa Suit, anyone who raises a minimum of £50 in sponsorship will receive a £10 High Street voucher. Entry is also £10 at Old Deer Park again the entry fee includes a wonderful Santa suit complete with beard and hat.

There are free places available for under16s at the Richmond event; each person under 16 can get a free place provided they are accompanied by a full fee paying adult. The incentive of a £10 High Street Voucher for anyone who raises £50 or more is also on offer at the Richmond runs.

The Richmond runs are a real family event, whilst it is a 5Km fun run, younger children can come and just completed as much as they can or want to. Alice the bear the charity’s new 6ft mascot will be making an appearance and children can enjoy festive fun with lucky dips, music and other surprises. Be sure to bring your cameras for great photo opportunities.
