If you were lucky enough to secure a place in the 2012 London Marathon, we would love to welcome you onto Health Poverty Action’s running team
Health Poverty Action is still something of a well-kept secret in the UK, despite the positive impact we've had around the world. We provide basic, life-saving healthcare and education to the world’s poorest people. We give them the things they need to stay alive: food, water, medicine and health care, and we give them a voice and help them raise it to assert their right to health.
As a member of our running team you will receive:
- A fundraising pack, including sponsorship forms and fundraising tips and materials
- Ongoing fundraising support and advice
- A Health Poverty Action running vest
- A supportive cheering squad along the London Marathon course
- A post race reception with complementary massages, to which family and friends are invited.
Any money raised in sponsorship will go a long way because we ensure that every penny possible brings better health to the world’s poorest people. In fact, a whopping 94p in every pound goes directly to the communities we work with.
