New Series Championship introduced for 2012 Asics Off Road Trail Running Series
Organisers Human Race have announced that the 2011/2012 Asics Off Road Trail Run Series will this year feature a new Series Championship, with the top athletes across the five-race series competing for some great prizes and the title of Asics Off Road Trail Champion.
The series features five races situated in some of the most formidable off-road running locations the South of England has to offer. The races and the series championship are open to all with the top 25 men and women in each race scoring towards the overall Series Championship.

John Lunt, Managing Director of Human Race thinks this will bring an even greater level of competition to an already popular series. “We had a number of requests from athletes for a series leaderboard and now we’ve added a fifth event in March, we think this year is the perfect time to give them what they want. We’re really excited about the added level of competition this will bring and look forward to seeing some great off-road racing right through the winter.”
The series kicks off with the 16km IceMan on the 19th November, a hard and hilly course through the notorious Army Training ground in Frimley. After IceMan, the series makes the short trip over to Camberley for the 12km MudMan on the 3rd of December before returning in the new year with the 15km WildMan on the 21st January and 8km TuffMan on the 4th February. The last race in the series sees the addition of a brand new 13km race to the Series in a brand new location. The TrailMan sees the Asics Off Road Race Series descend upon Eridge Park near Royal Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 10th March.
