For your running CV to be complete, every runner needs to run the route of the original Marathon run of the soldier Phidippides, from Marathon to Athens. This was also where legendary runner and Sports Tours International Ambassador Dr Ron Hill MBE won the Marathon at the 1969 European Championships and where he ran his 100th marathon in 1985.
