Ged Moore wins the first M2MUltra
Ireland’s Toughest Footrace finished in brilliant sunshine at Mizen Head, Ireland’s most south-westerly point. Nine of the fourteen runners who took part in the 11 day, 345 mile mega-day ultra marathon got to the finish line.
Ged Moore, was crowned the first M2M Ultra Champion finishing in a total time of 50hrs and 57minutes. This represented sub-9 minute miles all the way – an incredible achievement. He’s a real ULTRA-running star of the future.
The last day’s stage into Mizen Head was an emotional rollercoaster - all the runners were totally adrenalized as they crossed the line. Thanks to everyone who has been part of this inaugural running of the Toughest Footrace in Ireland and congratulations to all our finishers.
The M2M Ultra returns next September and entries are already live. There are only 10 places left.
