A chance for real runners to become the face of new advertising campaign
During this year’s Great North Run, ASICS will be running a Live Casting competition to find the new face of its female fashion range, AYAMi. During the biggest half marathon in the world, female runners that sign up to take part will have their picture taken on the course and entered into the European-wide competition.
AYAMi is a fashion-inspired running range from the performance sportswear brand ASICS. The female-only collection, is inspired by the brand’s Japanese heritage and ASICS has chosen to portray real runners to promote its new collection, which is why the brand is holding this form of casting. No flawless models posing in a perfectly lit studio – just real women running a real race.
To join in the Live Casting during the Great North Run, runners need to either head to the expo ahead of the race or look out for AYAMi representatives around the start of the race who will give out stickers for runners to wear to show they are part of the Live Casting experience. Positioned on the course will be ASICS AYAMi photographers capturing those women showing their effort and determination.
If runners aren’t spotted on the day, they can still enter the competition by uploading their own photo on the ASICS AYAMi Facebook page: www.facebook.com/asicsayami and clicking on ‘Casting Competition’.
