H2 has launched London’s first gym primarily designed for London’s ever-increasingly populace of runners.
One of Britain’s most popular sports, running and cycling are becoming the chosen means of commute for many Londoners, and the preferred method of exercise during a lunch break. This has taken people off the treadmills and into the parks, which in turn saves money and carbon footprint.
Not only providing quality changing facilities and secure bike parking, H2 Soho offers a specialist gym area with elite trainers from Lomax PT on hand to help complement members’ outdoor cardio workout. The area includes TRX Bands, the “War Machine”, punch-bags, kettle bells, stretch mats and much more, equipment designed to optimize core training in short, but very effective bursts. H2 Pilates and Yoga, also powered by Lomax, offers running specific Yoga and Pilates, which has also proven highly beneficial to training.
H2 Sports Therapy by Osteon, providing affordable access to podiatry, osteopathy, physiotherapy and sports massage are on hand to assist with any injuries and rehabilitation. Together with Lomax, the team will design a fitness program tailored to members’ needs, preventing the worsening of current injuries and strengthening muscles, helping them to reach their fitness goals.
For runners, H2 have put together 3, 5 and 7 mile running routes through Green Park, Hyde Park and Regents Park that can easily be fit into a lunch break, all ending back at the club where the member can benefit from a luxury shower. Running clubs are operated where members can run together and meet like minded people.
With three times as many lockers as most Central London gyms, all members can rent a locker on a permanent basis from as little as £9.99 and get their work clothes and kit dry cleaned and laundered through the club, taking the hassle out of exercising to, from or during work. The retail area has been carefully considered, offering a range of clothing and accessories.
Membership starts at £17.99 off peak with a pay as you go option available.
