Sign up NOW for Run to the Beat 2011!

by Editor
Monday 25th April 2011

Run to the Beat powered by Nike+, London’s only music half marathon, is once again returning to the streets of London on 25th September and promises to be better than ever. Building on the success of last year’s event which saw Brit award winner Tinie Tempah wowing competitors with his electrifying set, this year has some promising acts in the pipeline which will guarantee to motivate you around the 13.1 mile course.

Starting and finishing at The O2 Arena, Run to the Beat Powered by Nike+ will take runners on a scenic route around the south-east region of London, winding through Greenwich, the Docklands and Royal Artillery Park. The musical genres will differ throughout the course of the race with a different performance taking place at roughly each mile mark. This will guarantee a carnival atmosphere for the whole duration of the event.

If that isn’t enough, this year Nike+ has joined forces with the event. Nike+ helps you measure the distance and pace of your run. It tracks your history, maps your routes, provides athlete sound bites for motivation as you run, training schedules and games. All in all, helping you to better your running performance and keep motivated. Put simply, Nike+ will be helping all participants through their training journey and in the process making the event an extra special experience this year.

So whether you are in it to win it, fancy a fun filled run to end summer in style or are attempting a half marathon for the first time, Run to the Beat is the race for you.

Each year Run to the Beat attracts 17,000 runners, making it the second biggest running event in the capital after the London Marathon. Once again, spaces are limited for 2011 and are selling out fast, so to avoid disappointment head to www.runtothebeat.co.uk and sign up now!
