What does the London Marathon mean to you?

by Editor
Friday 8th April 2011

Virgin Money are giving you the chance to win a donation for your chosen charity in return for you letting them know what the London Marathon means to you via their Facebook page.

"Here at Virgin Money we think the London Marathon is a great example of something we care about - doing things in a way that makes everyone better off.

"That's why we jumped at the chance to become the proudest sponsor of the biggest annual fundraising event on the planet – an event where runners, supporters and everyone involved works together to make everyone better off. To celebrate this fantastic day we're running a special poetry competition."

Voting has now closed on the first round of the Virgin Money poetry competitionand the first set of winners have received £500, £300 and £200 respectively for their chosen charity. Click here to see the winning poems.

There has been such an overwhelming response to the competition they have decided to give you another chance to win with more donations up for grabs. Simply tell them what the Marathon means to you in the form of an 'Every' poem and you could win a donation to the charity or fundraising page of your choice on Virgin Money Giving. A shortlist of their favourite poems will be posted at the end of April.
